Tell us all about the proposal!
Everything that could have gone wrong did and it was absolutely perfect. My two best friends and their now fiance/husband were there and we got a little tipsy the first night and I thought it was a great idea to fake tan and woke up the next morning not understanding why my best friend Phoebe was freaking out about my streaky hands when I thought it was hilarious. Gunnar had planned to propose on a sunrise hot air balloon ride outside of his grandparents house in Franklin, NC and on the drive up there (with me in the car) he got a call that the weather wasn't going to permit us to go up so he had to hide his disappointment and also secretly call my mom at gas station breaks to formulate a new plan. He ended up proposing on the back deck of his grandparents cabin and it was stunning and sentimental and then all 6 of us loaded up in the car to go to Asheville for brunch and sunset dinner at the Omni Grove Park Inn and we had a hotel in Asheville so we could go out and enjoy the night.

What advice do you have for people currently planning a wedding?
Do exactly what you want and what feels right for you and your partner - as much as you might want to you will never be able to accomodate everyone so have the wedding that feels authentic to your relationship
Do you do any New Orleans traditions during the wedding day?
Second line parade, king cake, no formal dinner just embracing getting the party started as soon as possible

How did y’all meet? Tell us your love story.
Gunnar and my brother, Matthew (who married us), played on the same baseball team growing up - we started dating when I was in eighth grade did long distance for 5 years at rival schools (UF/FSU) and finally moved in together in 2018 after I finished my Master's program at UF to St. Petersburg, FL where Gunnar was finishing law school.
What’s next for you as a couple? What memories are you looking forward to making together?
We are very much looking forward to traveling a lot and continuing to push each other every day to become better people
