Lauren at Lovegood here! Over the moon to share one of our October weddings with y'all. Since the beginning of 2016 I have had the pleasure to work with the mother of the bride for this fun, rustic wedding at Hideaway Lake in Carrier, Mississippi. When I asked Jessica the bride what the inspiration behind the wedding day she said, "I told my mother that I wanted Vintage Chic, she incorporated that along with more than I could have dreamed of, and It came together beautifully."
How lovely is this couple?! Fun fact is that Jessica and Joey met at in kindergarten at Pleasant Hill Elementary School in Pleasant Hill, CA. They were very close friends for 16 years before the two decided to start dating in July of 2007. Joey proposed on their 8 year anniversary at the same location he asked Jessica to be his girlfriend, at a lookout point in Berkeley, CA called Fish Ranch Road. It has a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay and is stunning at night time lit up by all the cities lights. I mean, how precious!
We asked Jessica for some future advice for brides planning, "Think of what you are envisioning for your day. Mixing and matching Vintage, Rustic, Chic can be so romantic and there are so many ways to put a fun twist on it. The possibilities are endless…"
Favorite Memories of the Day: We had a lot of wonderful memories from our Wedding Day!
#1.) Seeing the look on his face when he saw me for the first time walking down the aisle. It seriously felt like no one else was there except for us. Sort of like tunnel vision.
#2.) We loved lighting off Chinese Lanterns down on the beach when it got dark out. It was a fun activity for everyone to do and made for beautiful photos.
#3.) Having so many of our friends and family fly/drive out to Mississippi from all over the country to celebrate with us. It was awesome that people were willing to make the trip, to a place most of them had never been before, just to see us get married. We felt so much love and support on our Wedding Day.
